My Story

I grew up in South Lake Tahoe and attended Chico State. I had a successful career in Silicon Valley for 15 years doing application training and consulting for tech innovators and Fortune 500 companies.

My husband and I met in San Francisco and were married in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. We have two boys, ages 20 and 17.

My life path took an unexpected turn in 2007 when my infant second son was diagnosed with epilepsy, forcing me to leave the corporate world.

After helping several kids (including my oldest son) successfully navigate the college application process, I started KerryU.

My two sons have followed vastly different trajectories, giving me firsthand knowledge of the unique nature—and needs—of individuals’ paths. Helping define and navigate those paths is my primary passion in life and is my mission.
I use humor, knowledge and perspective to help support people through life transitions.
